Millions of Fox News fans were devastated this week when Bill O’Reilly was fired from the network after a series of sexual harassment claims against him came to light. Now, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has broken her silence about the scandal, and liberals are not going to like what she had to say.
The Washington Examiner reported that Palin said women who are sexually harassed should not remain at their jobs just to get a paycheck.
“If a woman believes that she is being intimidated and harassed, she needs to stand up and do something about it, not stick around for a paycheck for years and years and years, and then after the fact complain about what she went through,” Palin said.
She also said that changes need to be made at Fox.
“Corporate culture there obviously has to change. You know, women don’t deserve – they should not ever have to put up with any kind of intimidating workspace,” Palin told CNN host Jake Tapper.
Palin appeared on The O’Reilly Factor often during her time as a Fox News contributor, but her contract at the network was not renewed in 2015. Tapper asked if this was due to inappropriate treatment, but Palin was reluctant to say what happened.
“You know I’m not going to speak for them, my contract wasn’t renewed – that’s the line,” Palin said.
